001 // BASICS         to start — i do not do well with drama so please don't bring that shit to me. not interested. don't care. really truly i don't give a fuck so keep that attitude away from me

  • i'm trish, i'm 25, and i live in est.

  • your opinions on your muses are your own; my opinions on my muses are my own. i don't care who you like or what you write just extend the same courtesy to me.

  • i don't interact with influencer face claims or anything of that sort; this includes singers and generally anyone who is not an actor.

  • this blog is MEDIUM ACTIVITY

003 // shipping         i am willing to write a lot of ships provided there is extensive plotting beforehand; however, i do not automatically ship klaroline, klefan, klayley, or klamille. in fact, my main verses usually reject all of these ships.

  • i also don't write nsfw and would prefer fade to black.

  • cannot stress this enough — my klaus does not have an obsession with caroline, camille, or aurora in any of my verses. in following some of tvd / to canon, he is simply fond of stefan as a friend, but he will not tolerate his loyalties to elena and damon. klaus and his family come first always.

  • although i do think klaus is a romantic at heart, his ability to love has been skewed and perverted over the centuries. when he falls, he falls hard, but it takes him a long time to fall. klaus likely won't have interest in your muse for a long time tbh and that's just how i prefer to write him.

004 // INTERACTING AND WRITING         i will not write just for the sake of writing — i am busy and to be completely straightforward, if there is no reason for our muses to interact, i am not interested in forcing something just for its own sake.i don't write with mikaelson sibling or mikaelson children OCs. in fact, i will rarely interact with any sibling or children OCs, even other canon characters.i probably won't write anything superfluous. i prefer extensive plotting, and i may drop threads if i don't really see it going anywhere. roleplaying is a two-way street and if i'm putting effort into ideas i expect the same from you.klaus isn't a good person. he's violent and aggressive. to be completely clear, he's a horrible person and a dick. if you're interested in making that work for your muse then i'm all ears.MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON KLAUS'S MENTALITY, DEGRADATION INTO BEING THE VILLAIN ARE AVAILABLE IN THE STATS PORTION OF MY CARRD.

IMPORTANT PORTRAYAL NOTES

  • klaus was a happy, innocent child. as scared as he was of mikael, he still did his best to remain a positive influence on his siblings.

  • he loved all of his siblings, including kol and finn. although he had different circumstances with all of them, he would have died for any one of them.

  • after turning, he killed esther in a fit of rage, and although he was angry and wrathful, a bigger part of him always hated himself for doing so. he didn't blame it on mikael. instead, he told his siblings.

  • my klaus undaggers finn and does not leave him in a box for 900 years. verse dependent on finn's impact in klaus's life and is totally up to the discretion of the finn roleplayer on how to handle it and how you want it to fit. i reject canon after mikael dies anyhow.

  • it took klaus around 200 years of dealing with the hunter's curse, running from mikael, and growing to know less and less about his true nature as a werewolf and leaning more heavily into his vampiric instincts before he started getting truly spiteful and paranoid. acts of disobedience and betrayal began angering him slowly over the course of the next couple decades.

  • as niklaus meets katerina and discovers the doppelganger curse, he becomes even more obsessed with power and control. as katerina petrova dies, wrecking his one chance at salvation from the tyrannical father, the mad king is born.

THE MAD KING  :         A QUICK BIOGRAPHY.Niklaus Mikaelson is a creature forged in blood, betrayal, and centuries of isolation. Once a man frantically fleeing the wrath of his tyrannical father, Niklaus has since evolved into something far more dangerous: a deluded king with no throne, a narcissist masquerading as a savior to his family. He’s convinced himself that every dagger driven into his siblings’ hearts is an act of mercy — a protective pause in a world that seeks to destroy them. To Niklaus, family is both purpose and possession, twisted tightly around his own insecurities and grandeur. He calls it love. Most would call it control.Beneath the charm and silver tongue lies a man who trusts no one — not even those he claims to love. While Niklaus is quick with a smirk and even quicker with a threat, true connection has always eluded him. He dismisses human emotion as weakness and chooses instead to surround himself with those who, like him, have embraced their monstrous nature. Vampires and werewolves appeal to his predatory instincts and remind him of what he believes to be true strength. His early bond with Stefan Salvatore was born from that mutual understanding — the beauty of the hunt, the high of abandon, and the weight of their shared damnation.

    001. THE MAD KING / TVD VERSE. HALF CANON COMPLIANT.
Before he was the monster, Klaus Mikaelson was just a boy — a loving, sensitive child caught in the shadow of a father who could never love him. He spent his human years walking on eggshells, desperate for affection, desperate to be enough. The physical and emotional abuse from Mikael shaped him early, etching deep scars that would never truly heal. Even then, Klaus was full of love — for his siblings, for his mother, for the dream of being more than what Mikael said he was. But when Esther turned them all into vampires and Klaus's werewolf bloodline emerged, that sliver of hope was torn away. His true self — wild, instinctive, powerful — was bound by a curse, and he was taught once again that he was something to be ashamed of. Love, to Klaus, became something conditional. And power? That became survival.
Centuries turned that wounded boy into something colder, sharper. As he embraced his vampiric side, he buried his vulnerability beneath layers of violence, charm, and control. When Katerina Petrova escaped him and doomed his one shot at breaking his curse — the chance to be stronger than Mikael — something inside him snapped. It wasn’t just rage; it was betrayal, it was helplessness, it was the cruel echo of every time he’d been told he wasn’t enough. From that moment forward, Klaus stopped trying to be good and started trying to be feared. Every dagger in a sibling’s chest, every body left in his wake — they’re all pieces of that fractured child still trying to protect himself, now too far gone to realize what he’s lost.

  ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Rejects all canon following Mikael's death. This verse accepts a steady timeline of the exact moment's of Klaus's eventual spiral into the villain. Finn was not left daggered for 900 years. Klaus is obsessed with building a vampire government from this point on.

    003. THE HOLLOW CROWN / TVD AU.         Klaus Mikaelson was born in 125 AD into a proud and secretive Old Germanic werewolf lineage nestled deep in Ulvedalr. The only child of two powerful wolves, he was raised amid traditions that revered strength but scorned the violent transformation that came with triggering the curse. As a result, Klaus was taught to repress his instincts, bury his aggression, and live a life of controlled restraint — despite his natural skill in combat. Swordsmanship and hand-to-hand mastery became his outlet, and though he was a loving child at his core, there was always a wildness just beneath the surface. That life ended when a vampire named Mikael arrived in their region. Drawn to the prowess Klaus displayed in battle, Mikael saw in him a promising recruit — unaware of the dormant werewolf gene within him. He turned Klaus without hesitation, severing him from his family, his legacy, and the pride he felt in his wolf blood. After the curse was accidentally activated soon after his transition, Klaus became something rare and dangerous: a hybrid. Though this made him uniquely powerful — a weapon of value to both Mikael and Esther — it also marked him as monstrous. Mikael despised him, beat him, and manipulated him, using his power but denying him worth. Over time, Klaus’s pain calcified into fury. His love for his adopted siblings — Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and Finn — persisted, but it was stained by bitterness. Around The Fifth Century, Klaus finally turned on his creator and killed Mikael. In the centuries that followed, Klaus and his siblings traveled, split apart, and rebuilt, each forming their own covens. Klaus’s coven thrived under a rule of fear, devotion, and high stakes. He styled himself a king among predators — a hybrid monarch who could offer power and safety but demanded unwavering loyalty. He inspired both reverence and dread, echoing the very man he’d once sworn to destroy. To elevate themselves above all others, Klaus and his kin began hunting and destroying ancient vampires, sowing the myth that they were the very first — the Old Ones. Though the claim was a lie, the terror it spread ensured their survival. Klaus, ever the orator and tyrant, clung to this legacy with manic pride, reshaping the world to fit the legend he forced into existence.

    002. THE COVENANT / TWILIGHT-ISH VERSE. ALTERNATE UNIVERSE.         Long before he was known as a monster, Niklaus lived among wolves. Born into a hidden werewolf lineage in the harsh Nordic wilds of the First Century, Klaus’s earliest years were steeped in silence and shame. Among the scattered packs of Scandinavia, the wolf gene was both sacred and feared — repressed by families who sought to hide from the growing vampiric threat. Klaus, untriggered and still human, had never known what it felt like to shift, but he bore the weight of that buried instinct all the same. His life took a violent turn when a vampire named Mikael hunted him down, forcing Klaus into transition and binding him to a coven he did not understand. The transformation into a hybrid was agony, and before he could fully grasp what he had become, his entire family — both wolf and blood — were wiped out in Mikael’s war. In that moment, Klaus was reborn in grief. He was raised not by love, but by fire. Though Mikael had power, it was Elijah who shaped Klaus in those early years — patient, elegant, and impossibly moral. Elijah helped Klaus suppress his bloodlust and tame the rage that bubbled under his skin, even if he never fully understood the beast within. For a time, Klaus trusted him. He even found something close to peace in the bonds he built with Kol and Rebekah, who came to see him not just as Mikael’s chosen but as their own. Klaus taught Kol control, spent sleepless nights pacing with Rebekah under foreign stars, and for a fleeting stretch of centuries, believed family could fill the void inside him. But as Mikael’s hatred grew, so did Klaus’s bitterness. Being forced to conceal his hybrid nature — the very core of his identity — twisted him into someone he barely recognized. With the Volturi rising and ancient power shifting hands, Klaus turned his grief into obsession. He no longer wanted safety — he wanted dominance. And so, he forged something new. Harnessing the unnatural forces at war within him, Klaus developed a rare and insidious gift: soul binding. Unlike mere compulsion, soul binding unraveled a person from the inside out, stitching their thoughts, desires, and sense of self into loyalty for Klaus. It was slow, invasive magic — a manipulation of will rather than mind. It created devotion, codependency, and in some cases, complete surrender. Even strong-willed vampires struggled to resist his influence when paired with his brute strength and centuries-honed charm.
